Ask The Grief Experts

Your feelings are unique to you. Don't compare them with what it "looks" like others are feeling. (Published 12/29/2015)

Q:

My father died in 1989 and my mother  in 2003. I visit their graves frequently. I cannot forget about them like my siblings have. I lay artificial flowers down and find that they have been removed. What do I do? I feel hurt that someone would do this. The siblings don't speak to one another. Also, though I have spoken and confessed my sins to a priest, I still feel guilty for not being a kind of daughter they wanted me to be. Why am I feeling this way?
