Death of James Randi

"The Amazing Randi was an Amazing person in all aspects of his life. I have always admired his philosophy. For the past week I have had several dreams about Randi and my former employee, one of his proteges, designing a double blind listening test of audio cables in the late 1980s to see if I could identify the manufacturer of three different cables with statistically significant success. Randi doubted I could. I could & did with slightly significant results. I hadn’t thought of Randi for years, so finally this morning after waking up from one of those dreams I realized this was getting weird so I searched Wikipedia for Randi & found he had passed last week. Read into the timing what you will. I personally have no clue. His legacy lives on."

"Met Randi at one of his many magic lectures. Me & my son talked to him about all things magic for a good long time. A short time later, my son recieved a signed book from Randi in the mail which he still has today.
I still remember seeing him debunk a performer of "mental powers" on the tonight show. Of course, with Randi inviting him to perform the miracle under test conditions the trick failed & the performrers ego deflated. James Randi travled all over the world as a performer and debunker & his contributions to the magic world will not be forgotten.
