CHICAGO (AP) — The Federal Bureau of Prisons says convicted Chicago mobster Frank Calabrese (KAL'-uh-brees) Sr. has died at the age of 75.
Bureau of Prisons spokesman Ed Ross says Calabrese died Tuesday at the Butner Federal Medical Center in North Carolina. Ross had no information on the cause of death.
Calabrese was one of several reputed mobsters convicted in 2009 in a racketeering conspiracy that included 18 decades-old murders.
