"Just watched the What's MyLine program after Dorothy Kilgallen passed away in which Steve Allen and Kitty Carlisle were panelists. They were splendid/ top notch...I'm 63 and remember Miss Carlisle from game shows and other places growing up...she's sorely missed by me:("

"I'm thinking of Kitty Carlisle Hart today and the great, long run she had in her 96 years. She made any event she attended brighter and more exciting. And those classy clothes she wore, how elegant she was. During the first 52 years of my life, I loved watching and listening to her, both on To Tell the Truth and on What's My Line. She had such quick wit and a genuine twinkle in her eyes, and I loved watching one of her last shows, when she talked of the musical theater in New York. With her knowing so many composers, including Gershwin, she brought her world to the rest of the country, so that we had glimpses into her life, and what a remarkable life it was. Her many years as Chairperson on the Council of the Arts reflected her tireless commitment to arts throughout New York State. Kitty, you left us on the very day my own mom left us, so we have that connection with you. For your decades-long career, Kitty, thank you. I will think of you for the remainder of my life and be grateful that you were a part of it. Peace, Kitty."

"Awww, SO glad to hear that she's getting beettr. I had no idea about the liver thing! Scary. We had numerous pets as kids (and are working on getting one now, just hasn't happened yet) so I know exactly what it feels like to worry about the little guys. They're totally a part of the family."
