George Washington Memorial Park

In October of 1777, George Washington and the Continental Army set up camp in Philadelphia, weary between battles. Their encampment—now known as George Washington Memorial Park—stands as a symbol of patriotism that echoes much of our nation’s history and tradition.

Many burial options are available here, including traditional ground burial, lawn crypt gardens, cremation memorialization and mausoleum entombment.

The Heritage Chapel Mausoleum overlooks George Washington Memorial Park. Built in the late 1970s, the mausoleum is a popular choice for area families as a lasting tribute and final resting place. It features breathtaking stained glass and boasts a chapel so beautiful that it is often used for weddings.
