Druid Ridge Cemetery
Since its founding in 1898, Druid Ridge Cemetery has been providing peace and comfort to families in the Baltimore area. The natural setting and abundant wildlife of Druid Ridge have attracted thousands of families and visitors over the years. With its meticulously maintained grounds, beautiful monument sections and a historic mausoleum situated atop a knoll in the center of the cemetery, it is no wonder the cemetery has been hailed as "picturesque" by The Baltimore Sun.
Druid Ridge offers a variety of interment options including traditional ground burial, mausoleum entombment, private family estates, lawn crypt gardens and cremation memorialization. There are many beautiful elements of the park that enhance the lure of the cemetery. The 1898 Community Mausoleum, which overlooks many monument sections, has a Greek Ionic exterior, Italian-styled interior, marbled walls and ceilings, ceramic floors and beautiful stained-glass windows. The newer Atrium Garden Mausoleum features stained-glass windows, granite crypts and a lovely skylight.
One of the largest collections of private family mausoleums in the state of Maryland is found at Druid Ridge, with numerous influential and famous families choosing the park as their final resting place. A three-acre spring-water lake, completed in 1899, flourishes with wild ducks, mallards and swans. The property also hosts a tree-tagging program, identifying many prize specimens located throughout the cemetery's 200 acres. Druid Ridge has been honored with the Brickman Award for "most well-maintained cemetery" in the United States and continues to uphold this honor.
