He was the most amazing person, I went to college with him. I'll always remember his strength and perseverance. He was one of the strongest people I've ever met, he was totally dedicated to the civil rights movement. I send my heartfelt condolences to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with them. He will be greatly missed.

He inspired me to go to college, I'll always be grateful for the rest of my life. My kids are now graduating from graduate school. I thank him from the bottom of my heart, he changed the world for the better and always remained humble and down to earth. I send my deepest condolences to his family and many friends. A light has left this world.
