I've loved her from the first moment I saw her in the movies and have never stopped loving her. She was the girl and woman of my dreams that I never got to meet or marry, except in the movies she played in, which inspired more thoughts of her as an ideal friend that I only wish we could have met and befriended each other. Did I put her on a pedestal and worship her: Yes, in a Christian sort of way that I wished I could have married a woman like her and found happiness in her love, an idealized version of her, so lady-like, so worldly-wise; yet, so virtuous, so beautiful in appearance and noble in spirit. I have never stopped being smitten with her. I hope she found happiness in her life and many loves in marriage and in her family life with her one child and in her Christianity in her witness and worship to God, the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. I want to see her again in Heaven when I pass. I know she will be there and we can be friends forevermore. Rest In Peace, Rhonda Fleming.

I was 12 years old when Ms. Fleming visited my hometown of Baraboo WI., and I got to meet her. She was there to promote her film about the circus, and Baraboo was the home of the Ringling Brothers Circus as well as the Circus World Museum. My father was instrumental in bringing the museum to Baraboo and in planning the parade, so he invited her to have dinner at our home. I got to sit next to her, and the highlight of the evening was when I was allowed to touch her beautiful hair...it was bright red, highly teased, and sprayed with lots of hair spray. To say I was star struck is an understatement. My condolences to her family, and may her memory be for a blessing.

As big as life on screen. I wished I could look like her!
