I saw Forrest in my mind's eye, feeding ducks this past week. He had a great impact on our lives & I'm sorry to learn of his passing. I enjoyed my trip out West because of his adventurous chase & hope his family can find peace knowing he is at rest...something I imagine he never did! What a great dude :)

Forrest motivated me to plan a full 5 day outing in New Mexico with my grown sons. We re-connected is a fresh way and had the time of our lives. Walking and exploring. Breathing the fresh air and meeting other campers. Countless hundreds of others opened their lives to a new direction of life and enjoyment. I have his books and will treasure them. Thank you!

Forrest had a great impact on my life. I have seen places I would have never seen and had some extraordinary adventures that would have never happened without his influence. I will forever be thankful to him for giving me the confidence to go out and grab every banana. My sincere condolences to the family.

Forrest was an amazing individual. I will miss his words of wisdom and clever sense of humor; he was a true inspiration. Everyday I will try to be more Fenn like!

Forrest knew that to be important he only needed to impress himself, and he did that by positively affecting thousands of us with The Thrill of the Chase. Forrest played his part by enriching all of our lives which caused us all to be better for having passed his view, he did not waste his turn. We will all think of him now that he has passed this vale, there is no consequence for he has finally found his way and is now at peace with all of it. Forrest left behind his own footprints, his turn has passed and now it is our turn to play our parts. *

Ring his bell and he will know ❤

Forrest was a great man. I will miss him a lot. I never met the man, but I loved his writing, and the way he thought about things. He himself was a Treasure.

My heartfelt condolences to Peggy and the Family. I pray that good memories and his love sustain you through this tough time of loss. He was a special man, not letting the left hand know what the right was doing. I changed a flat tire one night, I had no idea he would remember me, I will never forget you Forrest, may you rest in peace.

Dear Peggy, my condolences to you and your entire family. Forrest was a very special friend to me and other searchers. He impacted my life in such a profound way and I am eternally grateful to you for allowing him to share his life with us all. I pray you find peace in the days ahead.

Forrest.... thank you for the adventure of a life time. The Thrill of the Chase was what I needed to get my life back on track. I will miss our Frank Thought discussions and your sage advice and wisdom. Thank you again for the blessings you shared with me and how you inspired me to be a better man. I hope the salsa I made for you wasn't too hot and that you were able to enjoy it without breaking into a sweat. I will visit the hidey spot from year to year and burn a juniper fire in your memory. Please do me a favor and make sure no one catches the record Brown before I have a chance. Thank you for your friendship. I will miss you more than anyone will ever know. Tell Eric another generation of fishermen will enjoy campsite 3X. Until we meet again, many blessings to you and your family.

Your friend,

Frank

Forrest was a master of life. His wit and wisdom brought so much light into my life and his presence brought joy to virtually everyone who knew him.
