I sadly never had the chance to meet Mark yet know his son Mark from having played hockey alongside him several times. I am immensely proud of Sr's military service (for those who don't know, the guy had been in Patton's 3rd army in WW2). My sincere condolences to the family and their friends during this difficult time.
Mark Jr please email me, I sent you a msg awhile back, unfortunately it didn't go through and I've had a new mobile number since last August/lost yours Email remains the same however, hope to hear from you soon.

All of us who love the game aspire to play as long as Mark. He was a true inspiration to all older hockey players. I am writing this as a member of the board of the Gray Wolves Senior Hockey, Skaneateles, NY, which fields tournament teams in 50+, 60+, and 70+ divisions. Our oldest player, Marsh Webster, played with Mark at the "Snoopy" and just retired from active duty at the age of 96. The Gray Wolves offer our heart felt condolences to
the Sertich Family and thanks to Mark for all he contributed to our sport.
I posted the article from the Duluth News Tribune on the Gray Wolves Hockey Facebook page.
