Admiration for his brother, Meager during his work on trying to get Black Citizens to vote during the 60s' in the state of Mississippi. I admire him for returning South to carry on his brother legacy, and by participating in the political process landed him a job as being the first Black Mail of a city in Mississippi, since Reconstruction. Let his work and legacy lives on. God Bless the Evers' family. Rest in Peach Mr. Charles Evers.

I worked for Mayor Evers in his 1971 campaign for governor and later wrote a book, "Amazing Grace: With Charles Evers in Mississippi." It was a privilege to join his effort to advance the cause of Black freedom and justice; he lost, but the ticket saw a record 52 African Americans elected to offices. May Charles Evers rest in peace and his loved ones take heart in his achievement. ,
