It's weird i still go on twitch everyday wishing to see your name at the top of the list. Its still hard to process this but i hope you are doing good up there my friend. I hope you are spending time with Guy. We will make sure your legacy goes on. I am writing this has a way for me to get it all off my chest cause its heavy. I still feel sadness everyday. My friend i hope i will see you soon in the meantime i will try and make you proud and be happy. I hope everyone remembers some of the few words you said in your last stream. If you guys feel sad and alone please talk to someone. This is it for me friend Byron i love you.
Rest easy friend.

Hey, Byron.
The year is soon coming to an end, and I am reminiscing all of 2020s various events. I lost a good friend this year, or so it feels like anyway. Not ever being able to hear your voice live again makes me feel emptiness. I remember in my darkest days i would sit and watch you and it would relieve me from worrying.
I am thankful from the bottom of my heart that i got to experience you as a person, your thoughts, your laugh, your inspiration. I hope that wherever you are you are free from pain. I will always remember you, Byron, and I love you.
Thanks
- Lars

I have watched you from the beginning. I started playing WoW because of you. You had pulled me out of my own mental health issues through your stream. You literally saved my life and I watched every stream since that day. While I only had the privilege of meeting you once, it meant more to me than I let on. Thank you for everything you have done for us. We will miss you.

God, I'm crying so hard right now. You brought me so much hope and joy. Byron you were the BEST streamer ever and brought my troubled life a lot of happiness. Your demons are a reminder to a lot of us who have shared similar fates. I wanted so bad to meet you one day. Man Rest easy, you deserved so much more, I wish we could have helped you more. I wish I got the chance to know you irl. Love you man, you will always be remembered in my heart

I became aware of Byron through my son who grew up watching him from the old WOW days on. My son asked me to watch Reckful talking to Dr K in order to help me understand my son and his mental health battles a bit better. Reckful introduced so many to the idea of getting help for mental health issues. I was so sorry to hear he had passed. It's always sad when someone does tragically but this was someone who gave so much to others. He is truly beloved. I know his life will continue to inspire many. Your family and his closest friends are in my prayers. Byron is so missed.

Back in the days when i played WoW with some friends, they came up to me with Reckful's name. Great guy, clever player, and an amazing content creator. I was not been following his live streams recently, but his passing hits pretty much everyone in the community. Rest in peace, Byron. Condolences to the family.

I remember watching Twitch a lot when I was in another country for college. It helped me deal with the loneliness because Byron was always interacting with us users on chat. There was one time my twitter photo was viewed by Byr and other users. That was fun. We all took your time for granted thinking you're gonna be here forever. But we will always remember you. You meant a lot to us. It'll be hard to not remember you. You never met me but if you did you wouldve had a lot of fun and laughs. Take care and say hi to your brother Guy. - AF (Chogall)

Even though I never actually met Byron, he was a huge part of my childhood. I watched him stream on and off for the last 8 years or so. He always put a smile on my face. I truly cannot believe he is gone but I do know now he is in no more pain and can finally rest.
And to the family, words cannot express how sorry I am. As stated before, I never met Byron but I feel like I've known him almost my whole life, I can't even imagine what his closest friends/family are feeling right now. You never know how much an individual truly impacted your life until they're gone. I will miss him dearly.

The world lost a beautiful person. Someone who inspired and motivated tens of thousands of people, me being one of them. No matter how depressed he was, he had a way of making you feel better. You could be having a horrible day and within 10 seconds of turning his stream on, youd have a smile on your face. There arent very many people in the world capable of doing that and they should be cherished. Reckful meant a lot to me just like he meant a lot to his other viewers. We all felt like he was one of our best friends. I grew up with him and this loss pains me as if it were a family member. Ill always remember him. I hope that his family can somehow find peace. I hope that he is at peace.

As a long time follower/viewer of Byron I feel a dark void inside having heard the news of his death. Even though he didn't know me I feel that I knew him. In my 30+ years on this earth I've experienced plenty of loss and this one hits particularly hard for me. This led me to think about the thousands of people who feel the same way. It feels like losing a good friend. This is a pretty unique thing. I'm sure there's people out there with hundreds or maybe a thousand "friends" but I don't think there's anyone who had as many friends as Reckful did, whether he knew them or not. We knew him. The universe as a whole suffered a great loss on July 2nd and I grieve, not only his family and personal friends, but for all of you as well. May he be at peace now and forever.

Byron was more then just a WoW high ranking streamer. He was a inovator if you will. A entertainer, content creator on so many levels and platforms, and most of all he was a friend to all who would stop by and say hi. He made those who felt alone seem like they wasn't. He showed alot of us who grew up watching his streams and vlogs who Byron Bernstien was. Just human he showed more then he should've his vulnerabilities his insecurities, but he showed alot of good as well. His best moments in his life, and saddest. Byron said he had one brother left, Gary. But the truth be told Byron you had many brothers. call it para socialism what you want to phrase it as, but it's real. Gary you have so many brothers now broski. We love you Byron even if your gone your not forgotten rest easy brother you LEGEND.

Byron was a regular at SPiN, the ping pong bar in downtown Austin that I was working at prior to the pandemic. Byron and his friends came in at least once a week for a few hours of ping pong and drinks. He was always kind and patient, even on our busiest days, and was extremely passionate about ping pong. I was always happy to go out of my way to reserve a table for him and his friends and make sure that they received great service and had an awesome time. I am so sorry to hear about Byron's passing. I know that wherever he's going, there is a ping pong table reserved for him. His presence will be missed in Austin.
