To her family,
She was a great woman, and an incredible friend, with an honesty and devotion you know best. Her place in the history of our country may be quietly written, but it is foundational in importance. She was unique in both her empathy for all mankind and acceptance of life's reality. I treasure the time we had together as an unmatched gift of friendship. Hold tight to the lessons of her life, There can be no greater gift than her love for each of you. My deepest sympathy.
