I wanted to express how sorry I am for your passing. We loved ToysRUs and the company was wonderful to us.
I was thinking that someone should write a book about the ToysRUs company and its founder, Charles Lazarus.
It would be a lovely way to commemorate his company and life, and the man behind ToysRUs. I know I would buy it.

Truly saddened to hear about Charles Lazarus' passing. I will always be proud to say that I was truly a Toysruskid. I met my husband while working at toysrus now we have 2 beautiful little girls and the first time we took them to toysrus their little faces had big smiles they were so happy excited. it breaks our hearts to know that we might not have toysrus stores ever again for our children and future generations Thank you for your service- thank you for bringing smiles to many kids. I'm sorry I really prefer things when Charles was in charge. Because now I have to grow up. And I really loved being one of his toys r us original cabbage patch kids. Family I pray your heart open to comfort from the heavenly father and Charles I respect you and am lost now with out your clearly defined abundantly obvious place to GO shop.

When Mr. Lazarus first came into my office, put his feet up on my desk, and said: "Tell me what's happening !" I knew I was with a great CEO who had his fingers on the pulse of his business. His vision brought such great joy to generations of children around the world. Surely there is a welcoming place in heaven for such a wonderful man. Thank you Charles, for making us all wide-eyed Toys R Us Kids. May God bless you and your family always.

Charles was the one who interviewd and hired me(one of the early people) to join the company in 1969 and gave me several of his categories to buy.

to have been part of his team together with Sy Ziv was the ultimate education in the the toy industry.
