Phil Taylor
September 21, 1954 - November 11, 2015
Hasland, England
Different things motivate different people. Heavy Rock/Metal has moved me from the moment I first heard it in the early 1970s. When I first heard Taylor, I was blown away by the originality and intuitive playing that Motorhead its unique sound. In addition, good "anything" dosent come from an idle mind. One could see that Phil was an intelligent , beyond comedic personality.

Philthy Animal Taylor,
A truly great character who shaped my youth with Motorhead in its original guise.
I miss you already, your passing bought tears to a 49 year old man.
I hope you know what fantastic fun times you gave millions worldwide.
I had always hoped for a reforming of your original trio, maybe just as a one off. This dream has gone forever for me.
Please RIP in paradise, you thoroughly deserve it, you are my musical inspiration.
Never forgotten, crazy, tongue in cheek humour. What a man you were.

It's ironic that i was setting up my drums for a gig, when someone told me the news.
Phil...i know you'll be playing your drums right now in Heaven, with all the other greats who left us over the years.
Rest In Peace. The World isn't the same without you playing Motorhead on those drums.

Still hasn't sunk in, devastated. Phil was an extraordinary drummer, funniest man I knew and a loyal, true friend who was loved by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed, but will never be forgotten, he has left so many memories and I was fortunate enough to have known him for over 40 years.
God speed Phil.
See ya down the road somewhere.
Keep rocking wherever you are.
Love as always
