I adored her! Such a wonderful Actress and I loved every movie she was ever in. I have watched all the movies of her and John Wayne, over and over again, I have lost count. I had no idea she had passed in 2015. I saw her at the 2015 Miss America Pageant in September. I caught her going into an elevator and she popped her cute little head out knowing I wanted to take a picture! And I did. My niece, Alexis Wallace, was Miss Oregon that year. I was so excited to have seen her in person and I thank her for that great picture I got of her. RIP BEAUTIFUL MAUREEN.....

Today the Turner Classic Movie channel showed Maureen's favorite, The Quiet Man. It's my favorite too. Maureen's performance should have won her an Oscar, but not until 2014 did she receive an honorary Oscar. I adored this beautiful,strong woman. The Quiet Man and Miracle on 34th Street rank as my favorites and two of my all time favorite movies. I wish I could have known her personally. I love that she had a strong faith in God and was always vocal about her beliefs. She was clear and devout and this always shone through. She put God first and was never ashamed to be grateful in public. I'm sure her beautiful broad smile is shining in Heaven with all her loved ones and dear friends before her. I grew up watching stars like Maureen O'Hara & adored her from the very moment I saw her star in Miracle on 34th St. Her little girl's name (in the movie) was Suzie just like mine & I'd dream I were so lucky to have such a beautiful, sweet, loving mother as the Suzie in the movie. I would imagine she was every child's ideal role for a mother. She was and always will be my favorite redhead of films. Such grace & beauty unsurpassed!
