I am forever grateful to Dr Jude. He saved my husband's life during emergency open heart surgery in 1991. We had only been married a month. Thirty years later we are still together thanks to Dr Jude. May God continue to bless this good man and may he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to learn of the death of Dr. Jude. It is so good that he used his life to pioneer this technique that has saved so many lives as well as his other medical contributions. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and the many others who loved him. It's good to be remembered fondly by others but even more so to be remembered by God. May Dr. Jude rest knowing that god has an impeccable memory. Prov 10:7a

Thank you for allowing me, a certified Rescue SCUBA diver, for being able to save lives that otherwise would have been lost. I thank God every time for guiding you and the two engineers to the beginnings of C.P.R., allowing to to be developed into what it is today. Your contribution to entire generations will be appreciated, welcomed, shared with as many others as we can and has provided every person (and animal) that has used or been given all, or part, of the procedures you and your team developed.
On behalf of the people I've been blessed enough to help so that they may continue their lives and the continuation of their families. Not all survived, but I always know that I've done the best I can because of C.P.R., letting me have some peace that they passed but not because of a lack of trying with an arsenal of tools, not the least being C.P.R.
Rest in peace. You will always be thanked, even by those who don't know who you are; They, as well as their families and friends, will always know what you and your team gave us.
~Peace

There is no doubt Dr. James Jude loved life. I share these words for family and friends, and all those he taught CPR.
Acts 17: 24 The God who made the world and all the things in it, being, as he is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples;25nor is he served by human hands as if he needed anything, because he himself gives to all people life and breath and all things.

We did not know him personally, but are very proud of all he has done to save the lives of so many. We are so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Jude performed open heart surgery on me at UM/JMH on November 19, 1965. I was 9 years old. He literally saved my life. I am now 59 years old. I still have a letter from him to my grandmother saying it would be a great idea to let me have a dog :). His dog was named Bones...I named mine Maggie :). I've thought about him a lot through the years. I will miss him greatly. - Sandra L. [ Cox ] Lowe, Deltona FL.
